Scott A. Berger, MD, has been one of South Florida’s premier pain management specialists for the past 30 years. A board-certified, fellowship-trained anesthesiologist, Dr. Berger is a graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, for his residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in pain management.

He has served as the chairman of the Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital Governing Board and president of its medical staff in addition to being the founding president of the Florida Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Association. Dr. Berger was a key expert witness for the U.S. Department of Justice, Florida Board of Medicine, and U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency to help rid South Florida of its pill mill crisis.

Dr. Berger has served as the medical director for several ambulatory surgical centers and was a surveyor for AAAHC, the national association that accredits ambulatory surgery centers. Dr. Berger is currently the senior medical director for OrthoNet and has helped establish new treatment guidelines used by major health insurance.
